Acroatia 2024:   There is no Bcroatia!
19.7.-09.8.’24.   Etno Park Waterfall

Our 9th edition! We had different locations, different faces, different weathers, and different ideas over the past eight years. One thing remains the same though, our vision that Acroatia is a home away from home. A space for creating memories and friendships, for movement and learning, (re)connecting with the trees, ground, life, and yourself. Or, just simply put – a space for daring acrobatic tricks!

Acroatia 2024 is a 3-weeks long adventure and it’s up to you if you come 10 days or 3 weeks. To know more about the tickets, accommodation, location, workshops, and all other logistics, continue reading.

From the very start, one of our core values is Acroatia’s location. It needs to be in nature, secluded, reduced to a minimum in terms of modern living, and breathtaking, with strong hippie vibes. 😉 The remote and pristine location of Camp Slap gives us a chance to dive deep into the training, build a community, and detach from the buzzing of the city. It’s an extraordinary experience that can feel intense at times, so make sure you take a moment to charge your battery when you need to.

-> We want to make sure you feel comfortable with where you are, and we understand if this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Please keep reading to make sure this is an experience you’d like to have.

Camp Slap (Waterfall) is a raw experience of being in nature with nature. It’s located where the river Tounjcica meets the river Mreznica, and where we will meet you.

The camp is accessible only to those seeking it, as it is downhill from the nearest road by 5 kilometers of winding drive. The closest town, Ogulin, is an hour’s drive away from the camp. Therefore, unless you have a car, making a quick trip to a store for an ice cream won’t be feasible.

The toilets are of the dry type, meaning there is no flush button.

There are a couple of running water faucets in the camp for hygiene and drinking.

Showering primarily takes place in the river. Additionally, we’ve constructed two private camp-style showers to offer some seclusion. It’s mandatory to use eco-friendly, completely biodegradable toiletries only!

Electricity is limited. While we will set up a charging station, it’s important to note that access to electrical sockets is limited.

There is no phone or Wi-Fi signal for personal phones within the camp. We’ve arranged Wi-Fi through the Starlink connection, but unfortunately, we cannot improve the phone signal. To access it, you’ll need to take a 7-minute walk up the gravel road.

We will sleep in tents, dormitories, huts, vans, hammocks, or if you’re very adventurous, under the open sky.

The dormitories are of basic set-up, providing you with a roof over your head and a mattress and a pillow underneath it. The huts are the same, just with fewer people next to you.

Regardless of your choice, it’s essential to bring your own sleeping bag and whatever else you might need to sleep comfortably.

How to get there:

When traveling (finally) to Acroatia you want to aim first towards Zagreb. Afterward, you can choose between a train, a bus or renting a car. From Zagreb you aim for Ogulin. Traveling by train is slower than taking a bus. In Ogulin we pick you up. All the details will be provided in the welcome letter.

We strongly encourage you to share rides and offer one if you have a spot in your car.

Teachers and workshops

In our spotlight are S-basing and L-basing, and we offer 3 workshops in each slot, different in their level and topic. We have private coaching sessions in and out of the longes where you can come up with something you’re already working on and need a bit of knowledgeable guidance to make it safe and smooth.

There are morning yoga workshops to get your day started on the right leg, a floorwork or a handstand workshop to get you groovin’ in your body, and therapy sessions after dinner to relax you and soothe those hardworking muscles.

In addition to the pre-set workshops, we spice it up with workshops picked up by you from our workshop buffet board at the festival. These workshops can, but don’t need to be, acro-themed. The sky is not the limit, so bring your instruments, props, topics you are nerding on, and hidden passions with you.

Teachers at Acroatia are always people who inspire us, whose work we know first-hand, and who take their craft to the next level. It’s a colorful box filled with acrobats, facilitators, circus artists, and movement devotees.

We are in the process of the teacher selection for 2024…
